Asthma stands as the most prevalent chronic disease among children, characterized by chronic inflammation of the airways, leading to symptoms like coughing, wheezing, shortness of breath, and a feeling of tightness in the chest. To stabilize the health of children with asthma and prevent further complications, it is essential for them to receive Symbicort medication. Symbicort is highly effective in restoring a child’s health and has minimal side effects. This medication significantly eases the work of the children’s lungs and prevents irreversible changes in the airways.

This crucial medication essential for improving the quality of life for children with asthma is not registered in Armenia, making it inaccessible to many children suffering from this condition.This medication is necessary for many children to take over many years. The dosage of the medication depends on the severity of the child’s health condition.

Part of this program has been implemented with the support of the Armenian Relief Fund’s “Ayo” initiative.

The Symbicort medication is donated by the Fund to partner hospitals, through which the distribution of the medication and treatment of children is carried out.

The implemented project’s cost is approximately 55,000,000 drams.

The number of beneficiaries is around 1600 children.

The project is being implemented ongoingly.
